The Fallen Star

As reported by the Avalon Press

After the explosive ending to the war in the Mistwood, the Host of Avalon eagerly returned home. The Host quickly focused on matters at home, which entailed fighting the Void and a strange curse. However, the Host was successful in defeating the Void, as well as helping the Southern Barbarians who approached Avalon for aid.

On Friday evening, all of the Heroes realized something was amiss. Everyone felt intense sinus pressure and headaches staying indoors. However, if they spent some time outdoors, the feeling went away. This feeling was best described as “reverse allergies.” The Host also discovered a Fetid Pool just outside the Inn, which the Void used as an endless spawn point. However, fire was able to dry up the pool, halting the flow of Void creatures. The Void continued to attack throughout the gathering, along with a mix of various other enemies. These included demons, undead, banities, chaos creatures, and orcs and goblins.

Amidst this fighting, a delegation of Southern Barbarians approached the Nobility. They explained they had come to Avalon for their coming-of-age trial. Someone had stolen a relic necessary for their trial, a mithril ball. Luckily, the Heroes were able to find the individual who had taken this relic. It was able to be returned to the tribes, much to their relief.

There were also many other notable happenings during the gathering. There was a marked increase in criminal activity, particularly gangs from Coventry. It is currently believed Coventry gang members even kidnapped two Avalonians. The Host was able to recover these two individuals, although the gang members escaped. There were also reports of a mission to hunt down a Dark Paladin as well as another instance of a group of Heroes being transported unwillingly into Fae by someone named Mr. Grimm.

Saturday afternoon, the Host mustered for a fight against a band of Orcs. According to reports received from those on the scene, some of these Orcs had face markings, suggesting there were Morgrim involved. During Saturday evening, the town mustered to fight against the Void and put an end to the strange feeling when one was indoors. The Void was being led by a strange Void demon which seemed to be the cause of the strange feeling. Thankfully, the town was successful, and the strange feeling went away. In the aftermath of the fight, the Druids gathered up as many individuals as they could who had been affected by the Void and used most of their power to heal them.

On Sunday, there was one final town muster, as a massive fetid pool opened up spewing out Void creatures. After a fight that pushed into the afternoon, the Heroes dried up the pool and defeated the Void creatures.
