Be Prepared and Stay Hydrated

What to Bring to a LARP

LAIRE is held at campsites in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and New York. If you have never LARPed before, we’ve provided some helpful tips for what to bring to a LARP.

What to pack for a larp

Clothing

Pack clothing that is comfortable and you do not mind getting dirty. Dark colored clothing without images or logos are good for NPC duty. Check the weather forecast ahead of time and pack appropriately. A good pair of waterproof boots will keep you dry and happy all weekend!

Sleeping at a LARP

Sleeping

A good sleeping bag is extremely important! Stay warm during the Winter and on cool Spring, Summer, & Fall nights! Some buildings are heated but space is limited and during the warmer seasons you may be sleeping in a tent! Pillows, blankets, and foam pads are great additions for comfort.

Food & Drink

Food and drink are available for purchase thanks to volunteer community members of LAIRE who run the bar and the kitchen (non-alcoholic beverages only). This will run you about $25-$30, so please remember to bring cash. If you have dietary restrictions you can bring your own food or discuss your options with the kitchen staff.  Any food brought to camp must be kept indoors (limited refrigerator space is available) and are not permitted in tents during the warm months.
