The Take your sight spell has some test left in it from 2nd edition that was meant to be removed. the spell is no longer intended to cause permanent damage so should be dispellable. Please ignore the following paragraph in the spell description.

“This spell damages the eyes of the target character so, like other damaging spells, the caster cannot remove their own spell nor can any other character dispel these effects, the target character must be healed.”
