Description:

This skill gives the character the ability to call damage with Quarterstaff weapons. If a character does not have the appropriate weapon skill, then not only can they not call damage, but if the weapon they are holding is struck, they take that damage anyway.

Weapon skills are NOT hand specific the way proficiencies are. And a character can use the weapon in either hand with no penalty.

A quarterstaff can be used to block with one hand.

The base damage for a Quarterstaff is 2 with both hands.
