Are you a hero?
For one weekend a month, throw caution to the wind and blaze a hero’s trail in the capital city of Avalon – a place where all manner of men and mystical beings congregate in search of adventure, glory, and fun.
Whether honing your magical skills at The Guild of Arcane Lore, laboring in The Armory to craft extraordinary weapons, trading all kinds of wares at the Gold and Glory merchant’s outpost, or exploring the far expanses of the world of Midlantia, your character will be an integral part of our living story.
LAIRE is open to players of all backgrounds age 16 and up. Your first event is free, complete with new player training and an open community happy to welcome new faces to the game.
The Story So Far:
After their hard fought success against the undead armies of Nymidia and the defeat of Emperor Thalman, the Avalonian Heroes headed back to Brighton where they made camp in June. Even though they succeeded in the war against Thalman there were still dangers that awaited them. The Vampires and Hellions especially were the immediate dangers.
The Hellions reared their ugly red-marked faces and brought a fight to the Avalonians, being led by their fierce queen; Angala. The fight was tough and brutal. The Hellions seemed endless as Avalon fought. The Spellsingers targeted the queen with their songs to barrel through her defenses. Rangers shooting arrows and mages casting their spells. As their forces started to thin, Sir Ventrick fought his way to the Hellion Queen and took her on. Others, such as Master Toli, Lord Finn, Sir Termina and Countess Silverpool followed suit. Soon after the Queen gave a war cry for her hellions to disperse; which for hellions was to sacrifice themselves and pop out of the people they cursed…miles away. Angala was defeated, and Avalon cheered. A threat to the realm was dispatched and Avalon can settle back into their camp in Brighton.
Talks with the Empress and allied nobles also occurred and they had reached a decision; Necromancy would now by illegal.
What will happen now? With Necromancy declared illegal will the populus heave and uproar?
Are the Vampires lurking in the background waiting for their move?
